The latest labour force survey, released Friday, shows the province added 1,500 full-time jobs and lost 1,400 part-time positions. But the unemployment rate fell 0.6 percentage points to 6.9 percent as fewer people searched for work.
Nationally, the unemployment rate for the year fell to 5.6 per cent – the lowest in 43 years.
