N.B. Producer Zenabis Reveals Line Of Recreational Pot Products
SAINT JOHN– With recreational legalization a day away, New Brunswick Cannabis producer Zenabis has unveiled its new line of recreational cannabis products on Monday.
Based in Atholville, Zenabis is the largest privately-owned licenced cannabis producer in Canada. The company revealed their new recreational line, Namaste, at an event in uptown Saint John.
Namaste will feature a wide range of products in different categories such as flower and milled products and strains with both high and low levels of THC.
“For instance, our Ultra Sour [strain] has 20 per cent THC, so that’s our highest hitting product right now. It’s in our premium line. It also has a unique terpene flavour profile, so we’re really excited to offer that to our clients,” said Dr. Natasha Ryz, Zenabis’s chief science officer.
“We will be coming out with pre-rolled products very shortly and we also have some other interesting products down the pipeline, including oils, oral sprays, and lots more things. Especially as regulations change, we’re really keeping on top of product trends.”
If you’re not sure what things like “THC,” “CBD” and “terpenes” even mean, you can easily find out because, Cannabis NB, the crown corporation in charge or recreational pot sales in the province, also unveiled their official website on Monday.
There, customers can not only browse and research different products that will be available for purchase starting Wednesday but also get access to everything they need to know about responsible cannabis consumption, including a glossary of lingo.
Prices vary based on strain, product types, and brand. Customers will be able to get a pre-rolled joint for as low as $6.50 and up. The cost of flower starts at $8.50 a gram. If you’re in the market for extracts, those start at around $29 per 15 ml bottle.
If you have limited experience with cannabis, Ryz recommends starting with strains with a low THC level then going up from there.
“We always promote responsible use. Start low, go slow,” she says. “Make sure you try a lower THC product first, especially for new users, focus on higher CBD products.”
