Here are the Moncton Companies that Won Business Excellence Awards
Ten outstanding Greater Moncton businesses were honoured Wednesday night at the 32nd annual Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
The companies emerged from a list of 27 finalists in 10 categories to claim the much-prized Business Excellence hardware.
“This year’s list of winners was outstanding in many ways,” said Chamber CEO Carol O’Reilly said. “They represent both large and small businesses, young entrepreneurs, innovative and emerging companies, those who excel in community service, and those who have made great strides in welcoming and employing newcomers to our community.”
The winners in each category were:
Excellence in Business: Medavie Blue Cross
Excellence in Business (Small and Medium Enterprise): Pump House Brewery Ltd.
Innovation: Local By Atta
Emerging Business Clinique Natturra
Environmental Excellence: Atelier Seconde Chance Inc.
Inclusive Hiring: Delta Hotels by Marriott – Beauséjour
Community Service: Investors Group
Young Entrepreneur: Halftime – Haircuts for Men
Non-Profit Organization of the Year: Youth Impact Jeunesse Inc.
People’s Choice Award: Body by Bowen
“We were once again overwhelmed by the participation of the Greater Moncton business community in this year’s Awards,” O’Reilly said. “We had more than 100 nominations and from that list, close to 60 businesses submitted the nomination package to be considered as a finalist.”
The Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award was new to the awards’ program this year. Response to the new category was overwhelming with 16 non-profit organizations nominated.
Each of the award categories is adjudicated by an independent judging panel representing a cross-section of Greater Moncton’s business community. The People’s Choice Award is determined via a public vote on the GMCC website.
