Meet Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40
MONCTON – Some of the best and brightest young people in Moncton were celebrated Thursday evening.
Twenty individuals under the age of 40 have been named as this year’s Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40.
The event organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton and the Hub City Young Professionals Network highlights 20 individuals who are all making a difference in the community. The second edition of this event was held virtually on Thursday night.
“The list of our second Top 20 is once again very impressive”, said Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce CEO John Wishart, in a release. “All winners have already an accomplished career at a young age, but what separates them is their commitment to shaping their community’s future.”
The Top 20 Under 40 is:
• Adel Gönczi
• Chad Blakney
• Christine Dupuis
• Christos Papadopoulos
• Érika Cantu
• Heath Johnson
• Kimberly Conway
• Marc-André Charron
• Marcel Petitpas
• Mario LeBlanc
• Matthew Pennell
• Melissa Doucet
• Mischka Jacobs
• Mylène Desprès
• Myriam Mekni
• Samuel Bourgeois
• Sylvie Desjardins
• Tammy Carroll

Over 120 nominations were received for the list. The Greater Moncton Top 20 Under 40 Advisory Board, consisting of five independent judges from the community, reviewed all candidates and selected the names of the 40 finalists. From those finalists, this year’s Top 20 winners were selected by the judges.
“To be able to highlight twenty young community leaders during these uncertain times is quite an accomplishment,” said Patrick Richard, president of the Hub City Young Professionals Network. “Thanks to our excellent partnership with the CCGM, we were able to pull it off and recognize these young leaders who every day make our communities a better place to live.”
