Mark’s Now Open In McAllister Place
SAINT JOHN- Clothing and footwear retailer Mark’s opened up in its new home inside McAllister Place on Friday morning.
The east side store moved from its longtime location on McAllister Drive.
The former location closed last weekend in preparation for the move into the mall where the new Mark’s will take up some of the space previously occupied by Sears.
Up to five additional staff members have been added to the new store and more people may be hired in the future.
About 100,000 square feet of retail space in the old Sears was redeveloped to accommodate several large-format retailers.
In December, Huddle Today reported the Brick was hiring for stores in Saint John. Huddle reached out to The Brick at the time but did not receive a response by the time of publishing. However, on the Brick’s “careers” section on its website, the map appears to place the location of the Saint John store in McAllister Place.
The reconfigured space will also include a new common area inside the mall.
