Juno Nominee Ria Mae Will Headline 10th Annual Larlee Creek Hullabaloo
The organizers of Perth-Andover’s Larlee Creek Hullabaloo music festival have announced an award-winning lineup for the festival’s tenth anniversary.
The not-for-profit outdoor music festival, meant to promote the work of local, regional and Atlantic Canadian artists, takes place August 9 – 13 and will feature performers like JUNO nominee Ria Mae, Matt Minglewood, Pretty Archie, Gary Sappier, The Wooden Sky and Erin Costelo, among others.
Mae won an ECMA in 2012 for her debut album, Under Your Skin, and was nominated for a Juno in 2016 for her single, Clothes Off, which was produced by Juno award-winner Classified. He also co-wrote and produced Mae’s hit song Thoughts On Fire.
The main stage shows will happen Friday evening and Saturday starting at noon. Festival events will include the Little Hullabaloo, a songwriter’s circle, and the Big Hullabaloo, an all-star electric jam.
Community events will take place throughout Perth-Andover, including free concerts, a Supper Series, Picnic in the Park, interactive workshops, river cruises, a youth rock camp and children’s musical playground.
“Our audience can expect to see a variety of performances throughout the village of Perth-Andover during festival week … not only on festival grounds but at local businesses and community spaces. You might even find a few surprises along the way” says Heidi Baird, artistic director of the festival.
“We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to bring such a diverse lineup of artists to our community for the last nine years, and this year will be no exception.”
Festival tickets go on sale June 1 and will be available for purchase online and over the phone.
