Growth Marketing Event in Atlantic Canada Announced
HALIFAX– Atlantic Startups, marketers and business owners will converge in Halifax in March for Amplify, an event focused on growth marketing.
The event, hosted by Propel ICT, in partnership with Alongside and GrowthHackers.com, will gather some of the world’s most successful growth experts under one roof at Pier 21 to teach startups and businesses how to grow fast and efficiently using unconventional techniques. Participants of the conference will gain insight on how to attract and activate more leads, how to build a growth team and how to retain and nurture more customers.
“This is a prime opportunity for startups and businesses to get the expert advice and insight they need to properly scale their businesses for rapid growth,” said Trevor MacAusland, Entrepreneur in Residence at Propel ICT and event organizer in a release. “At Propel ICT, it’s our mission to mentor and educate entrepreneurs – with the goal of launching Atlantic Canada’s first billion-dollar tech company. This event is definitely a step in the right direction. The conference is built to help marketers and founders connect with the best mentors and address their challenges so they can get out there and get real traction to happen the very next day.”
Taking place March 28, the event will feature a keynote from Sean Ellis, founder and CEO of GrowthHackers.com. Other speakers include Zack Onisko, vice-president of growth, Hired.com; Dominic Coryell, founder of Gimme Growth; Todd Saunders, co-founder and CEO of Adhawk, among others.
Lead generation is a barrier to exponential growth for many startups and it’s also the one thing most startups need to survive. Since this will be the premier event of its kind in Atlantic Canada given the caliber of speakers organizers say they are expecting it to sell out.
“This conference will give people a glimpse of what we were exposed to when we were at 500 Startups in San Francisco. The mindset and approach to doing business breaks tradition and works incredibly well – and they do it unapologetically” said Yves Boudreau, CEO and co-founder of Alongside. “Atlantic Canada has a plethora of smart, innovative and growing companies. This conference will help to put a spotlight on Atlantic Canada and expose the amazing startups we have here.”
