Fredericton Airport Will Begin Work On Terminal Expansion Project This Month
FREDERICTON– The Fredericton International Airport Authority (FIAA) says will begin the construction of its much anticipated terminal expansion project in the next week.
The new terminal will be bigger, more modern, more convenient, and have more amenities. It will aim will create a strong impression on first-time visitors to Fredericton, while offering locals a welcoming, comfortable point of departure and arrival.
The construction project is expected to take approximately two years, and preparations have already begun. For the public’s safety and security, there will be changes to the location of parking, departures, and other airport amenities such as car rental desks starting May 24.
FIAA said it is doing all it can to minimize disruption during construction.
“Our goal is to maintain smooth operations for our passengers and visitors,” said FIAA President and CEO Johanne Gallant, in a news release. “We are posting wayfinding signage throughout the terminal. We’ve trained our staff and have been working with our tenants in the terminal on the changes to ensure we maintain the friendly, helpful service our community expects.”
