Doing It For The Kids: Grant Thornton Moncton Office Walks For Children’s Charities
MONCTON – Staff at Grant Thornton’s Moncton office laced up their walking shoes on Thursday for the Grant Thornton Foundation’s first annual Making Steps Count Walk—a national walk-a-thon supporting three Canadian children’s charities.
“The Grant Thornton Foundation’s Making Steps Count Walk was a fun way to make a difference in our community—and communities across the country,” said Norm Raynard, managing partner. “Not only did we have the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, but we were able to positively impact the lives of Canadian youth in the process.”
The 23 walkers raised a total of $1,115 for the Grant Thornton Foundation’s three national charities: Big Brothers, Big Sisters Canada; Breakfast Club of Canada; and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Nationally, the Making Steps Count Walk raised $73,000, with Grant Thornton LLP itself matching staff donations.
