A New ‘Feels Good’ Spring Market is Popping up in Fredericton
FREDERICTON— Traditionally, Feels Good hosts a biannual market. Jen Pilon, Market Coordinator, thought their artists and crafters needed a little extra love this year.
This Saturday marks the first Spring Feels Good Makers Market.
“Our community also needs safe activities and places to go and things to do with their time,” said Pilon. “Things to look forward to.”
Customers can expect the usual Fredericton favourites. Bees Louise, Heirloom Spoons, and Woolly Milne are a few of the vendors booked for Saturday. A full list is available on the Feels Good Facebook page, along with some personal stories about the people behind the art.
“We also opened space for new vendors,” said Pilon. “Small businesses and crafters that are just getting themselves started.”

To find crafters for the market, Pilon will sometimes reach out to people she sees working in the community. She is excited to see new people thriving in the Fredericton art scene.
“It’s a little bit of new, it’s a little bit of old,” said Pilon. “But it’s quite a sweet lineup.”

Since this Sunday is Mother’s Day, Pilon recommends bringing your mom or picking her up a handmade gift. Supporting local is important to Pilon, but it’s also important for the entire Feels Good art community.
“Everybody really needs it,” said Pilon. “It’s great to vote with your purchases and invest in your local community because we are all the ones living here together and it seems like the right thing to do.”
The market will run this Saturday, May 8th from 10 am to 4 pm at the Charlotte Street Arts Center. Covid restrictions will be in place.
“The Charlotte’s Arts Center is a great place to spend a little bit of time on a Saturday afternoon.”
