Consumer Cannabis Event Coming To Moncton In March
MONCTON – Canna Island Inc., a P.E.I.-based company that aims to “elevate cannabis experiences” in Atlantic Canada, will host the first Cannabis At The Coliseum event on March 7.
The company says the trade show is “Canada’s first ever consumer-targeted cannabis event where attendees can purchase legal cannabis and accessories from a Cannabis NB operated pop-up store on site.”
“Cannabis At The Coliseum is the first consumer trade show of its kind in Canada. We are excited to be working with Cannabis NB and other licensed producers to help educate and inform the population in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere,” said Canna Island COO Sam Murphy, in a release. “This event is completely focused on the needs of the cannabis consumer and those wanting to learn more about cannabis products and the industry.”
Aimed at those aged 19 and older, the event will include interactive exhibits, educational sessions, and non-infused product sampling from some of the country’s top cannabis producers, accessory companies and others.
The company says the event will offer “a relaxed and welcoming educational environment,” with speakers and demo sessions aimed at current cannabis consumers as well as those who are just curious.
The event organizers will prepare interactive and immersive hands-on activities for attendees, as well as a lounge and live entertainment.
Consumers will also be able to find products like vape pens, cartridges, and ingestibles at the pop-up store.
Brands like Tweed, Tokyo Smoke, Spinach, Cove and FIGR have confirmed they’ll be at the event to exhibit, educate and have product offerings available at the pop-up store. Aurora Drift, San Rafael, Namaste, Blazery, Re-up, RIFF, SOLEI, Good Supply, Aqualitas, and 7Acres will join them, while others are expected to be added later.
Tickets cost $10, taxes and fees included, and can be purchased at Cannabis NB shops or on the Cannabis At The Coliseum website starting Feb. 7.
Canna Island is co-owned by Kevin Murphy, the president and CEO of Murphy Hospitality Group, which is behind the Gahan House chain, among other brands.
