Booze Biz is Good in New Brunswick
FREDERICTON – NB Liquor says sales for its last quarter were up 6.3 per cent to $118.9 million.
Sales by the province’s Crown corporation increased across the board as wine sales soared by $1 million, beer sales were up $2.7 million, spirits up $900,000 and other beverages up $2.4 million.
“NB Liquor has delivered growth in both dollars and volume in all categories in the second quarter,” said Brian Harriman, president and CEO of NB Liquor. “We are now at the halfway point of our fiscal year. To date, we have grown our business by $9.2 million in sales versus a year ago. What is exciting to us is that it is growing in all four categories.”
