Marshalls Is Opening Its New Saint John Store September 25
SAINT JOHN – The new Marshalls and HomeSense store will open in McAllister Place September 25, mall property manager Paul Johnston said Monday.
In a phone conversation with Huddle, Johnston said the property owner Primaris is doing extensive renovations to accommodate the new store and revitalize the entrance to that area of the mall.
Marshalls will be located in old Sobeys location and the new facade will include a glass wall and an expanded entrance to the mall that is now a narrow corridor leading to the old Sears.
“We’re very excited about revitalizing that end of McAllister Place,” he said. “The renovations will create a better flow of traffic into that part of the mall.
“Primaris sees the value in doing these kinds of renovations to attract new tenants.”
The old Sears location is still vacant but Johnston said the mall is working on several potential tenants for that space. It’s likely to be partitioned into spaces for different retail businesses rather than leased to one large tenant.
