N.B. Native’s Production Company Will Launch Remake of 80s TV Game Show
TORONTO – marblemedia, an award-winning media production and distribution company with a Rothesay native as Co-CEO, announced today it will begin production this fall on Just like Mom and Dad, a modern remake of ‘Just Like Mom’, the 80s hit game show.
Produced in association with YES TV in Canada and BYUtv in the US, the 20-episode primetime family game show will premiere across North America next January.
Mark Bishop, who was born and raised in Rothesay and now lives in Toronto, is excited about producing a show that will now include fathers like himself.
“marblemedia has a strong passion and track record for creating great co-viewing content for kids & families, and are particularly excited to be working with new partners at YES TV and BYUtv to bring back a show that we knew and loved as kids,” said Bishop in a release.
“I’m a Dad too and look forward to sharing what we’ve re-imagined for this new generation of modern, diverse and fun-loving families.”
The show will be filmed before a studio audience. Each episode of Just Like Mom and Dad will feature three parent-kid pairs. The game starts with two interactive trivia based rounds where parents and kids will answer questions about each other. The third and final round feature a bake-off between contestants.
