VidCruiter Moves To Historic ‘Marven’s Building’ Amid Hiring Spree
MONCTON – VidCruiter built momentum in 2022, hiring 100 staff and moving to a larger space in a historic Moncton property.
Company CEO Sean Fahey told Huddle the HR tech company has recently relocated from its former home at 100 Cameron Street to the “Marven’s Building.” It now occupies a 15,000-square-foot berth at 1 Factory Lane.
“This was an upgrade and it was because of growth. We added 100 employees last year,” said Fahey. He noted that hiring went on in Canada and beyond, as VidCruiter does business in about 25 countries.
“It’s exciting to be moving into a historical property and breathing new life into the business. It’s fun to come into this building with all its heritage and participate in it,” he added.
Local property management firm Heritage Management owns the Marven’s Building, which opened in 1882.
When it was first built by hardware salesman Joe Marven, the Marven’s Building was a hardware business. But Maven pivoted it to a bakery after he bought and reopened a local bakery under the Marven’s Biscuits brand, in the early 1900s.

Fahey said hiring will continue and that he plans to hire 100 more people worldwide.

He said VidCruiter’s recent hiring spree was fueled by the jump in demand for HR software during the heavy shift to remote and hybrid work brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“There was a huge increase in the need for hybrid solutions. Generally, demand is persisting, since more and more people are looking for hybrid work solutions,” he said.
VidCruiter was founded in 2009 in Moncton. It offers video recruitment and online hiring resources that grease the skids for the hiring of large numbers of people at once.
The company does business with several high-profile organizations, including the United Nations, UPS, Samsung, Lionsgate, and Lowe’s.
“We’re one of Canada and Atlantic Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies,” Fahey told Huddle. “We love being from here and we love working from here.”
