NB365: Jennyfer Brideau Of Savonnerie La Vie En Mousse In Tracadie-Sheila
This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today we feature Jennyfer Brideau of Savonnerie La vie en mousse, in Tracadie-Sheila.
In 2012, the arrival of my little girl changed many habits in my life, starting with paying attention to the ingredients in our everyday products. Her delicate little skin was so sensitive that I had to watch everything that came into contact with it.
The products I found in the stores, especially cosmetics, were not suitable for me. It was difficult to find truly natural products. So I started making them myself, which quickly became a passion.
After the arrival of my second child, my health was greatly affected and this pushed me, even more, to turn to natural products for myself and for my two little treasures.
That’s when I started my training in aromatherapy, which helped me a lot in the making of natural and efficient cosmetic products.
Little by little, I started to share my soaps with my family, my friends, and then the community. I decided to go to local markets to see if there was a real interest in my products in my community. To my surprise, only a few weeks after my very first market, I was no longer able to fulfill the orders from home.
I always wanted to have my own business but I never thought that this passion would allow me to realize my dream.
My business is here today, thanks to the support I received from the community. It is therefore essential for me to return the favour. That’s why I have many products in-store from local artisans and I love collaborating with other local businesses to make unique products that are good for our skin and our health. We have so many people with incredible talents and knowledge, we can do anything here!
