Ross Ventures Now Renting Apartments In Fredericton Complex Opening Next Year
FREDERICTON— Ross Ventures, a Fredericton-based company that owns multiple commercial buildings in town, is building its first residential property.
Units available starting February 2022 are up for lease now at Limerick Commons, with construction completed early in the new year. The project is located in Southwood Park, a residential neighbourhood on the edge of green space.
“It’s a five-minute drive to downtown and the university and easy access to uptown. It’s a great location,” said Amy Ross, managing director at Ross Ventures, in an interview with Huddle.
Limerick Commons is made up of three buildings with 103 units. There are two 21 units apartment buildings and one 48 unit building with 13 townhouses. Depending on size, units range from $1,150 to $1,500 a month.
Ross said they intended the design to be fresh and modern. They went with a neutral finish with the hopes to appeal to a wide range of prospective renters.
So far, Ross said a lot of families have been interested. Because of the close location to St. Thomas University and the University of New Brunswick, she expects students to rent them as well.
All apartments have in-unit laundry and balconies overlooking the park.
“We think they’ve turned out quite beautiful,” said Ross. “Lovely finishes.”
After a year and a half of working on the property, construction of the buildings is well underway.
Ross said her team was pleased with how their first residential project is coming along. They are starting their next residential project on Cliff Street on the northside this fall.
The new buildings will join their other commercial properties like HSBC Place and 535 Beaverbrook. They will still hold on to their office properties but don’t have plans to build anymore right now.
“There seems to be such a demand for apartments at the moment,” said Ross.
