NB365: Jonathan Wilson Of Crystal Cure In Shediac Cape
This is part of a year-long ‘Love for Local’ series called NB365: portraits of New Brunswick entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations. Huddle is a media partner with Love for Local. Today, we hear from Jonathan Wilson of Crystal Cure in Shediac Cape.
Our story started when our founder was diagnosed with a terrible health condition and was using cannabis to treat it, grown by another one of our founders, and it had amazing impacts on his life.
We saw the potential for medical-grade cannabis grown in organic living soil to be a game-changer for so many people, both with prescriptions and without, and we want to educate on the power this flower and we can do with it. We never add pesticides, herbicides or anything synthetic to our products as we believe the key is to keep it as natural and organic as possible.
This last year has taught us that although we live more globally than ever, there are times in which being close to home is a must. I’ve learned that we have more than we’d ever need to support us, with the wonderful bounties found in our province.
As we work on the construction of our facility, we are continuing to refine and perfect our craft, making sure we are ready to go when our facility is complete. We are committed to growing this business organically and sustainably and will continue to release small batches here in New Brunswick and in select markets across Canada. We are working with other local businesses like Golden Peak Cannabis in Dieppe to cultivate more great products and to help bring them to market.
Supporting local businesses has a real impact because it ensures our small, local businesses are booming as more of the world comes back to visit us in the coming years. If we don’t support our own businesses, why would we expect anyone else to?
