Ordinarily, Loyalist Plaza is the home of a craft market for cruise ship passengers. A craft beer market will make it a gathering spot for both tourists and locals.
The re-opening of restaurants in Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton Charlottetown and Halifax means the company has been able to re-hire some of its staff under the wage subsidy program.
Murphy Hospitality Group is closing all of its restaurants and temporarily laying off around 400 staff members, while smaller establishments like 11th Mile in Fredericton also close doors temporarily.
The women of Foghorn Brewing Company, Big Tide Brewing Co., Loyalist City Brewing Co., Gahan House Port City, Graystone Brewing, Hampton Brewing Co., Picaroons General Store, and Red Rover Craft Cider, as well as several other women who work in the industry, have collaborated to brew Sparkölsch, a special beer to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.
Gahan House Port City is hosting the second annual Port City Oyster Fest. The September 28 event will feature all-you-can-eat local oysters, shucking contest, seafood chowder competition, and live music and entertainment.
The popular P.E.I. craft brewer is expected to open the capital city location in the spring of next year.
The PEI-based pub and microbrewery is opening its Uptown Saint John location in time for Chop Chop week.
The Murphy brand is coming to New Brunswick and bringing 35 years of service experience with it.
