Porter Airlines Daily Flight from Ottawa Touches Down in Saint John for the First Time
SAINT JOHN – The first plane in the new daily Porter Airlines service to Ottawa and Toronto landed at the Saint John Airport in sunny, warm weather this afternoon.
Porter’s offering what it calls a premium service on a 74-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft with leather seats and complimentary wine and beer. Passengers flying on to Toronto after Ottawa will landing at the downtown Toronto City Airport.
“We continue to grow our Atlantic Canada markets and Saint John is a welcome addition,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO, Porter Airlines, in a release. “We now serve New Brunswick’s three major cities and passengers across the province will benefit from more options and competitive fares.”
The airport was obviously excited with the new service, hosting a welcoming event at the airport Thursday afternoon when the first plane arrived.
