Eigen Innovations Finalist in Cisco’s Grand Innovation Challenge
FREDERICTON – New Brunswick’s Eigen Innovations is heading to Dubai next month as a finalist in Cisco’s Grand Innovation Challenge.
On Monday Cisco named Eigen as one of the top six finalists. The Grand Innovation Challenge is a prestigious competition that recognizes companies creating disruptive technologies that leverage the fast-growing “Internet of Things” (IoT).
Eigen Innovations will compete for the top spot with a pitch of its technology to a panel of judges at the World IoT Forum in Dubai UAE on December 7.
“Being named one of the top six Internet of Things companies in the world by Cisco is tremendous recognition of our technology and how it helps manufacturers improve production efficiency,” said Scott Everett, CTO and co-founder of Eigen Innovations. “We congratulate our fellow finalists and look forward to seeing them next month in Dubai.”
The Challenge began in June with more than 3000 entries from over 100 countries. Through a series of elimination rounds, Cisco reduced the list to a top 15 in early October, and now it’s down to the final “Super Six”. Eigen is the only remaining Canadian company in the competition.
