What’s on My Desk: Janet Moser of The Hive
Janet Moser of The Hive incubator certainly knows how to make a space look good. With nearly twenty years of interior decorating experience, she has transformed The Hive into a sleek, modern workspace.
“If I’m going to spend so many hours in the workplace, I have to feel like it’s an inviting place to be. My workspace inspires me and hopefully it inspires others,” she says.
“I also feel that working with newcomers, we’ve given them a place to be proud of. This is their office. This is their place of business and when they invite people here for meeting they can be proud that they’ve been so included in this business community and that I’ve given them an environment on a very low budget.”
Moser says that it doesn’t take a big budget to make a space inviting, just a bit of creative flair and an understanding of what’s in and what looks good and how it can all be put together in a cohesive way.
“I come in here every morning, I open the door and I say ‘oh my gosh, this is mine. This is where I work. I could live here’ … The whole atmosphere is very inviting and it’s warm and I know when people come in here they feel happy because it’s a happy place to be.”
