Stage Set for Propel ICT Demo Day in Halifax
HALIFAX – Fourteen promising Atlantic Canadian startups will take the stage Tuesday night at Propel ICT’s Spring Demo Day in Halifax.
Hosted at the Neptune Theatre, the companies will take to the stage to pitch to an auditorium full of investors, industry leaders, potential partners and colleagues.
“Demo Day is a big deal for all of us at Propel ICT. It is a great finale and an opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders,” said Propel ICT CEO Anita Punamiya. “It is wonderful to see the entrepreneurs evolve over the 12 weeks and see their confidence and chase for business success.”
Propel ICT hosts two accelerator programs, Launch and Build. Launch take entrepreneurs through the early stages of a startup’s life cycle, while Build supports the further development of companies who have gained some initial market traction. Spring’s Demo Day will feature six build and eight launch companies.
“We expect to showcase the best of our Build and Launch companies….give them exposure to the investors and larger community. It also makes a statement about Propel ICT and the work we do and to inspire other entrepreneurs and encourage them to get on the start-up journey,” said Punamiya. “Demo Day is also an opportunity to thank our mentors, sponsors and funders and allow them to see what their support has enabled us to deliver. Plus we hope to enlist and engage others to join as mentors and sponsors.”
