St. Louis Bar & Grill Opening Quispamsis Location
QUISPAMSIS – People in Greater Saint John will have a new place to go to watch a sports game or have a meal with family and friends next month.
St. Louis Bar & Grill will be opening its location in Quispamsis at 175 Hampton Road. The Canadian owned and operated company is known for its wings, ribs, and sauces. The chain also has locations in Fredericton, Moncton, and Dieppe.
The new Quispamsis location is co-owned by Cary Beaumont, her brother Jeff Beaumont (who also co-owns the Fredericton location), and Dan Fagan.
“We’re an entrepreneurial family and we’re looking for good ways to expand and do new things,” says Cary. “I was looking for something else to do. I knew [Jeff] had a good experience opening the one in Fredericton and that was doing well, and I thought it sounded like something I would like to do, so I decided to jump on board.”

The goal was to have the restaurant open in May, but the Covid-19 crisis halted those plans.
“We were full into conversations in February to get the agreements all signed and get everything going, then Covid happened. To be honest, I didn’t know what would happen. We hadn’t signed anything yet … we had no idea what to expect as we were all shut down,” says Cary.
“Once New Brunswick started to open back up, luckily both the Fredericton and the two Moncton locations were able to reopen under the new guidelines. It’s gone very well for them and we started to feel more comfortable that this was an okay time actually open a restaurant.”
There are a few reasons they decided to open the restaurant in Quispamsis as opposed to Saint John.
“The main reasoning being there was a prime location. We were able to get the [former] Jungle Jims location there,” Cary says. “Basically, it’s a refit instead of a new build. The location became available so that was a perfect fit for us.”
They also felt the area also needed more restaurant options.
“We felt the market in [Kennebecasis Valley] needs more restaurants,” says Cary. “We felt it was definitely a great area and based on the feedback we’re getting so far, that seems to be the general consensus of the area.”
The owners are currently hiring staff and hope to have the restaurant and hope to be fully open by October 5.
“Our whole goal is to be a local community restaurant. Family-friendly, a great place to watch sports,” says Cary. “We’re open for lunch and we stay open late and we just want to be there for the community all the time.”
