Saint John’s Petro Service Limited Acquires Two Winnipeg Companies
SAINT JOHN– Petro Service Limited, a Saint John-based distribution, installation, and construction company in the petroleum and fluid handling industry, has acquired two companies from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The company announced Thursday that it acquired J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. and ESP Testing and Tank Cleaning Inc.
Family owned and operated since 1958, the Winnipeg-based companies specialize in the maintenance and construction of gas stations and fueling facilities in Manitoba, north west Ontario, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. They handle an array of services such as minor gas pump repairs, underground fuel system testing, major construction installations and service and installation of automatic and wand wash car wash systems.
“This is exciting news for both companies. J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. and Petro Service Limited are strong regional companies with long histories of providing consistent, high-quality service,” said Kevin Hocquard, vice president and general manager of Petro Service Limited, in a release.
“We welcome all the new employees to our team and look forward to offering our combined strengths to our customers. Furthermore, the expansion of our Gilbarco Veeder-Root distribution geography to include Manitoba and parts of northwestern Ontario will provide an added benefit to our customers.”
J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. will continue to serve its customers as a wholly owned subsidiary of Petro Service Limited, the company said.
Company president Vic Robinson will remain at the company working in business development.
“J.A. Robinson Pump was founded by my father, James Arthur, and mother, Peggie in 1958. I am pleased to have run this great company for 40 years,” said Robinson. “I look forward to working with Petro Service on our exciting future together.”
