The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick improves lives and builds community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. It does this through leveraging funds and investing in, collaborating with, and strengthening the non-profit sector in the southeastern New Brunswick region.
The United Way is looking for a talented, goal oriented individual to assist the organization in developing, implementing and achieving campaign objectives year to year and grow existing revenue. They will be able to create strategic plans to evolve and grow the campaign, communicate the United Way impact, and build relationships with local workplaces.
The incumbent will work with the Finance Director, a volunteer Campaign Cabinet, and will report to the Executive Director. This position is a full time position.
Analyze in detail the Annual Campaign results as a basis for planning the following year’s campaign. Organize and implement campaign objectives in conjunction with the ED, Campaign Chair, Campaign Cabinet, Campaign Volunteers and the Campaign staff
Key Responsibility Areas:
Collaborate with Campaign/Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely data entries.
Ensure campaign file data is maintained accurately for all accounts.
Ensure Loaned Representatives are receiving necessary support and providing necessary support to assigned accounts and division chairs.
In conjunction with Finance Director; manage receivables from organizations that have pledged donations.
Ensure that both Campaign Kick Off and Celebration are planned and executed in a timely manner.
Analysis and Evaluation
Analyze campaign results from previous years and determine this year’s campaign goals in conjunction with ED, Campaign Chair and Cabinet (individual employee gifts, corporate gifts and special events)
Ability to learn new software programs such as Donation Tracker (or whatever software is being currently used)
Review and analyze previous campaigns, identify strengths and weaknesses, changes in economy and community structure.
Research and apply new campaign techniques in an effort to improve the effectiveness of the campaign.
Develop an annual plan, critical path and timetable to ensure successful completion of the annual campaign.
Develop and deliver training programs for campaign volunteers and Loaned Representatives and Employee Campaign Coordinators.
Work with the Engagement and Development Manager to ensure there is a continuing program of recognition for volunteers and corporate donors.
Assist in identifying, recruiting and motivating the campaign cabinet.
Manage the solicitation process on a year-round basis.
Work with the Engagement and Development Manager to ensure contact with key volunteers involved in the campaign and monitor their progress.
Along with the Engagement and Development Manager maintain contacts and foster community relationships
Promote the United Way/Centraide to all its constituencies – business, labour, community agencies and the public.
Provide staff support to Campaign Chair and Cabinet committee as required.
Develop and implement targeted annual campaigns, programs and activities to potential and existing supporters.
Manage and operate within approved campaign budget and policy guidelines.
Plan, organize and develop in co-operation with the ED, Campaign Chair and Cabinet, all campaign related meetings, events and special functions.
Ensure campaign support materials are developed and produced in a timely fashion.
Work with Community Development department to fully understand the focus of the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern NB Region Inc.
Participate in United Way events such as Campaign Kick Off, Campaign Celebration and Day of Caring.

Post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience in a related field;
Minimum 5 years’ experience;
