‘People Don’t Vacation To Saint John, They Vacation From Saint John!’
SAINT JOHN – The Norwegian Dawn was diverted last week from Bermuda to Atlantic Canada because of Hurricane Florence. The Candian Press did a story about the disappointed but understanding passengers.
“We’re really glad they made the call. They’re the experts, they know what the ship can handle,” said Lee Boulanger, who on vacation with her husband Daniel. “We would’ve been on a very unpleasant cruise if we were headed south…We’re here to enjoy places we’re never been before.”
“It’s a very nice alternative,” said Daniel. “We’re going to make the most of it.”
The ship made stops in Halifax, Cape Breton and Saint John…instead of Bermuda.
