Organigram Hosting Career Fair To Fill Over 75 Jobs
MONCTON — Cannabis producer Organigram will host a one-day career fair at its Moncton facility on June 5 to fill more than 75 jobs in a variety of sectors.
A release says the company is holding the job fair in order to accommodate “recent and future expansion.” In April, Organigram purchased the soft chew edibles manufacturer, The Edibles and Infusions Corporation. The acquisition broadened Organigram’s presence in Western Canada.
The event is for job seekers interested in joining Organigram in roles such as operations, production, sanitation and cultivation. Only those interested in working for the company are allowed to attend.
Paolo DeLuca, Organigram’s chief strategy officer, said in an email to Huddle the company is excited to recruit new members for its workforce. With the pandemic, he said Organigram has had to adapt as a company, along with the industry.
“As we begin to see encouraging signs of recovery around the country, we are strategically assessing the teams and roles that will help us move forward,” said DeLuca.
“This includes new hires for the Centre of Excellence, with a focus on product development, and a plan for continued growth.”
Those interested in attending can visit Organigram’s facility at 320 Edinburgh Dr. in Moncton on June 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Minimum hiring criteria include a current resume and a criminal record check.
Founded in 2013, Organigram produces cannabis for medical and recreational users. It has developed several recreational brands, including Edison Cannabis Company, SHRED and Trailblazer.
It has a separate office based in Toronto and another manufacturing facility in Winnipeg.
