New Event Will Recognize Greater Moncton’s Young Leaders
MONCTON – The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton has teamed up with the Hub City Young Professionals Network (HCYP) to launch an event that will celebrate 20 leaders and change-makers under the age of 40.
The chamber and HCYP are seeking nominations for individuals who are involved in the community and have shown leadership, whether in business, politics, the arts, non-profits, education, the environment, healthcare or public service.
“Think of your friends, family, colleagues, clients. Anyone who acts as a leader in our community and pushes to make our region a better place to live. Our community needs to recognize them, nominate as many as you’d like,” said HCYP founder Patrick Richard, in a release.
This will be the first-ever class of Greater Moncton’s Top 20 Under 40.
The chamber said the partnership with HCYP is a way to connect with young leaders across all sectors in the region.
“Young professionals are a vital asset to our region and it’s important to acknowledge those who are making great strides in shaping our community’s future,” said chamber CEO John Wishart.
Nominations will be accepted until March 29, 2019. An advisory board will select the finalists, which will be announced during the Chamber’s Business & Workforce Expo on April 11 at CCNB Dieppe.
The winners will be announced on May 22, 2019, at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre.
