Hugh Wright has been named McInnes Cooper’s new Managing Partner and CEO for a three-year term. He is based in Halifax. Fredericton-based Len Hoyt, QC, remains the chair of the firm’s board of directors.
McInnes Cooper has also had a number of new associates join the firm including Patrick Kerr in Moncton, Sabrina Winters in Fredericton, Morganne Foley in Saint John and Caroline Spindler, Robert Mroz, Katherine Willyard, Rohan Rajpal, and David Wallace in Halifax.
Grant Thornton has named Mike Robart managing partner of the firm’s New Brunswick practice. The firm has eight offices in the province. Robart has been a partner with Grant Thornton since 2009
Moncton-based Atlantic Lottery has added two new people to its senior ranks. Tracey Cutcliffe, formerly the president of M5 Public Affairs in Charlottetown, is the gaming corporation’s new vice president of stakeholder relations and communications. Martha Stevens, who was previously acting CEO/director of marketing with Tourism Nova Scotia, is now ALC’s vice president of sales and marketing.
Former PEI premier Robert Ghiz has joined the board of Medavie. He will serve alongside Michael Decter, Bernard Lord, Dr. Myrna Francis, Ed Martin, Edward Barrett, Jean-Pierre Provencher, Karen Cramm, Kelly Nelson, Kim West, Marian Walsh, and Mike Wilson.
Rémy Bernier has joined New Brunswick-based Symplicity Designs as an organizational designer.
