Marshalls Makes It Official: New Fredericton Store Will Open August 27
FREDERICTON – The new Marshalls store will open August 27 at the Uptown Centre on Prospect Street, the company announced Wednesday.
Marshalls, which bills itself as a leading off-price retailer with merchandise at “well-below” department store prices, says the new store will offer more than 20,000 square feet of big brand fashions, a boxed footwear department with thousands of brand name shoes, and home décor items.
“We are excited to launch the new Marshalls location in Fredericton,” said company spokesperson Libby Stunt in a release. “We know that our customers are smart shoppers who seek stylish merchandise and we’re excited to provide them with incredible deals on high-quality, in-season, designer pieces.”
Marshalls is owned by TJX Companies, a Fortune 100 company that bills itself as the largest off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and globally. TJX Canada also owns Winners and HomeSense.
The grand opening ceremony will take place on August 27 at 8 am. Regular store hours will be Monday to Saturday 9 am to 9 pm and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Last fall Marshalls opened a new store in Saint John, and earlier this year it also opened one in Bathurst.
The company made the original announcement about a new store in Fredericton in the spring of 2018.
