James Mullinger’s ‘Anything Is Possible’ Gets Global Audience On Amazon Prime
James Mullinger performed his live stand-up show, Anything Is Possible, before 5,000 people at Harbour Station in Saint John. It will now be available to the world on Amazon Prime Video, beginning September 5.
“I am obviously very excited that people all over the world will get to see that stand up show that I spent so long honing and polishing and am very proud of,” said Mullinger in a release. “But I am also incredibly overjoyed that I am also getting to show the rest of the world how beautiful New Brunswick is!”
In Anything Is Possible, Mullinger – who has been nominated for the Just For Laughs Best Comedy Show Award and a Canadian Comedy Award since arriving in Canada from the UK – riffs on leaving his home city of London and moving to a smaller one like Saint John, along the way relaying personal stories about parenting, and adapting to Maritime customs like the consumption of homemade wine.
Greg Hemmings, CEO of Hemmings House Pictures and executive producer of Anything Is Possible, said the distribution deal with Amazon Prime Video is an opportunity to showcase lesser-known cities and towns around the world that have stories to tell.
“Saint John, New Brunswick is a relatively unknown part of the world that is home to world-class talent and impact-makers, like Mullinger,” said Hemmings. “It’s our job as filmmakers to let audiences know that legends are not just found in the bigger centers like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.”
