First Export Igniter Cohort Named
FREDERICTON–Ignite Fredericton has announced the companies that will participate in Atlantic Canada’s first export accelerator.
Export Igniter is designed to help export-ready companies jumpstart their export sales through a 12-week program starting in January 2017. Members of the first cohort will participate in boot camps and be paired with a local exporter who will provide ongoing mentorship. A partnership with the University of New Brunswick’s Faculty of Business will also give the cohort access to a team of undergraduate students.
The first cohort consists of six Fredericton-based companies including Red Rover Craft Cider, Marr’s Sweet Syrup, Ginger Design, Unforgotten Metal Art, SimpTek Technologies and Mayday Printing.
“We’re very excited about the diversity and potential of the companies in our first cohort,” said Adam Peabody, Ignite Fredericton’s investment attraction and growth specialist and coordinator of the program.
“To spur economic development and job creation in New Brunswick, it’s absolutely imperative that our companies are prepared to compete on the world stage. We hope to accomplish that through this program.”
