Air Canada Bringing Early Morning Toronto Flight Back To Fredericton
FREDERICTON – Those looking to fly to Toronto for a day trip will be able to do so once again starting in May.
The Fredericton International Airport Authority announced Friday Fredericton will once again have an early-morning departure to Toronto beginning May 1, as part of Air Canada Rouge’s summer schedule.
The early-morning departure at 6 a.m. to Toronto and late-night arrival in Fredericton allows business travellers to do same-day trips to Toronto for meetings and provides improved connectivity to Air Canada’s worldwide network.
“Our community spoke out clearly to say that this departure time was important to them, and we appreciate Air Canada’s efforts to find a way to bring this flight schedule to our city,” said Johanne Gallant, president and CEO of the Fredericton International Airport Authority, in a release.
Service to Toronto will continue to be operated on the Rouge network, with the Airbus A319 aircraft. Air Canada’s schedules to Ottawa, Halifax, and Montreal will be consistent with previous years.
