5 Valentine’s Day Dates That Don’t Require A Restaurant Reservation
SAINT JOHN – With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, lovebirds in Saint John are not lacking in choices to do something romantic together – and yes, that can include throwing axes at a wall over a few drinks.
1) Make Art Together At The Art Warehouse
Sip on a cocktail or glass of wine while painting side-by-side at The Art Warehouse on 120 Prince William Street.
“Couples or friends can create and laugh while trying something new and leave with a memento of their time spent together,” said owner Hazel Cochran.
If one is feeling brave, paint a portrait of your date and see how they react – hopefully it won’t turn out like a Picasso!
2) Challenge Your Relationship At Breakout Saint John
Pressure turns coal into diamonds, and sometimes the same case can be made for love. At Breakout Saint John Escape Rooms at Parkway Mall, relationships could literally make or break.
“Breakout gives you the chance to truly connect with the one you love as you work together and immerse yourself in a race against the clock,” said co-owner and manager Julie Pugsley.
Is your relationship up for the challenge this Valentine’s Day?
3) Rock Out At a Live Show A Bon Jovi & Bryan Adams Tribute Show
Relive a musical blast-from-the-past at the Bon Jovi & Bryan Adams Tribute Show at the Imperial Theatre on February 14th.
With famous love songs Heaven, One Night Love Affair and You Give Love A Bad Name, romantic nostalgia will be thick in the air.
4) Scale The FitRocks Climbing Gym
FitRocks Climbing Gym, located on 40 Ashburn Lake Road puts the idea that the couple who sweats together, stays together, to the test.
“It’s a really fun activity for couples to do,” said manager Igor Ignatov. “There’s a lot of problem solving that you got to do together; you can challenge each other in a fun way.”
5) Hit A Bulls-Eye at Throwing Axes
Axe-throwing makes a memorable Valentine’s date night at in Uptown Saint John (while keeping partners on their toes).
“It’s kind of a different experience for couples to come in and do,” said Woodchucks’ general Manager Alex Dickens. “We’re also going to have some live acoustic music from 8-11PM and do a fun Valentine’s Day cocktail as well.”
