3+ Corporation Announces New CEO
MONCTON–3+ Corporation announced today the appointment by their board of directors of Eric Mourant as their new CEO.
Mourant stepped into the role and had his first official day on Tuesday.
Mourant has experience in management consultant services to commercial businesses and not-for-profit organizations. With an MBA from Saint Mary’s University, an accounting degree from Laval University and a Bachelor’s degree in administration from Université de Moncton, he held senior position in financing within and outside local and provincial governments.
“This leadership position plays a very important and dynamic role for regional economic development, and I am pleased with the selection of Eric Mourant for this position,” said chair of the 3+ Corporation board of directors James Lockyer, in a release.
“Eric brings to this position the combination of education, experience, energy and the passion for our region that is required for the successful leadership of 3+ Corporation and its partners.”
Mourant said he was honoured and humbled by the board’s selection.
“I am very excited to be joining such a talented, dedicated and welcoming team. I am also delighted that this new role allows me to work in partnership with Dieppe, Moncton, Riverview and all other community stakeholders for the long-term economic success of our region,” he said.
Interim CEO Michael MacBride will stay on for a period of time to help Mourant transition into the new role. MacBride will then be vice-president of special projects for 3+ Corporation.
