Unemployment Down in New Brunswick in November
Unemployment in New Brunswick was down last month, according to the latest numbers from Statistics Canada.
New Brunswick unemployment went down to 8.7 per cent in November from 10 per cent in October.
Statistics Canada also released seasonally adjusted, three-month moving average unemployment rates for major cities. In Moncton, unemployment went up to 7.3 per cent in November from 6.9 per cent in October. However, unemployment in Saint John remained steady at to 7.6 per cent.
Nationally, the unemployment rate was 6.8 per cent in November, down slightly from 7 per cent in October.
Though the numbers are positive, Statistics Canada says these figures are based on small statistical samples and may fluctuate widely.
