Porter Airlines has resumed service at Fredericton International Airport (YFC), meaning that all of the airlines that were flying before the pandemic have returned.
Air traffic continues to pick up at the Saint John Airport with another airline returning to the airport Wednesday.
The first Air Canada flights will land in Saint John on June 29, with a scheduled departure set for June 30.
Flair Airlines, a low-cost airline flying to Toronto, will begin service on July 3.
The airline said the tentative date to resume operations is March 29, but with no firm commitment to return to the Maritimes.
The airline posted a notice on its website that service to Ottawa and Toronto will not be offered between January 6 and February 1, 2020. Airport CEO Derrick Stanford says the move isn’t unusual for quiet periods of the year.
The new daily flight gives Saint John a direct connection to Ottawa, and then on to Toronto
The new service begins in September with direct flight to Ottawa, connection to Toronto on same plane.
