SMG Hosts Job Fair to Fill Hundreds of Positions at Moncton Events Centre
MONCTON – The Moncton Events Centre will be opening soon and it will need hundreds of people to operate. On June 15-16, centre operator SMG Canada will host a job fair at the Moncton Coliseum.
“We have hundreds of seasonal part-time jobs needing to be filled, everything from conversion staff to food and beverage, operations and events,” said general manager Nick DeLucoin a release. “It takes a lot of great people to run a venue like this and we are really excited about getting people in place to ensure our patrons and clients receive the best customer experience possible.”
The facility will be busy right out of the gate. The Moncton Wildcats home opener is September 28 and there have also been six shows announced so far, including Keith Urban, Chicago, Paw Patrol, John Mellencamp, Jerry Seinfeld and most recently the figure skating Thank You Canada Tour.
The job fair will open Friday at noon and run until 9 p.m. and on Saturday it will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
They will need people to work a range of shifts including days, weekends, and overnights beginning this August.
There are jobs are available in guest services, ticketing, food and beverage, operations, cleaning and conversion. SMG expects a high volume of candidates, so applicants are being asked to fill out an online application in advance.
