NBCC’s OASIS Program Expanding to Saint John, Growing in Moncton
FREDERICTON–Crediting the success of existing OASIS programs in Miramichi and Moncton, New Brunswick Community College is introducing a pilot of the entrepreneurial mentorship program in Saint John.
OASIS connects small businesses facing challenges with experienced entrepreneurs and community representatives to provide support, resources and guidance.
“The OASIS program has provided support to 21 small businesses since its inception by focusing our efforts to grow the program and create strong networks with communities of entrepreneurs across New Brunswick,” said NBCC entrepreneurship coordinator Clarissa Harris-LeBreton in a release.
NBCC will launch the OASIS pilot in Saint John over the next six months. Originally implemented in Miramichi, the program expanded to the Moncton area last fall, where it will now be offered on a continual basis along with an Entrepreneur-in-Residence program in Winter 2017.
“This is exciting new for Saint John area entrepreneurs as we embark upon the pilot program this fall,” Harris-LeBreton added. “With 64 per cent of our mentees seeing increased revenue and 73 per cent increasing their client base, we know that we’re helping entrepreneurs and we can’t wait to see even better results.”
“With our recent successes in Miramichi and Moncton and growth in Saint John, we have our sights set on growing the program across the six regions NBCC serves.”
