Irving Oil’s New Top Lawyer
SAINT JOHN–Irving Oil has a new top lawyer. The energy heavyweight has named Cox & Palmer lawyer John Laidlaw as its chief legal officer.
Laidlaw is replacing David Greenberg, who is retiring after 16 years in that role with the company.
Laidlaw is an expert in corporate law, and was a senior partner and chairman at Cox & Palmer’s Saint John office. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick’s law school and was called to the bar in 1984.
Irving Oil operates Canada’s largest refinery in Saint John. It also owns eight distribution terminals, a fleet of delivery trucks and over 900 fuelling locations.
Last October, the company announced it would be building a new corporate headquarters in uptown Saint John.
