Five New Brunswick Team Building Activities that Don’t Suck
If your business is going to be successful, you need to have the right people. But when you have the right people, you need to make sure they are able to work together and get along without it turning into an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
That’s why team building activities are important. However there’s no denying they do have this reputation of being super lame and in the case of Michael Scott, offensive and not very thought out.
Case in point:
The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way. It’s just a case of thinking outside the and getting out of your comfort zone or just taking the time to unwind and really get to know your colleagues.
Because we’re super help here at Huddle, here are some suggestions of team-building activities you can do throughout new Brunswick:
Escape Rooms:
We’ve written about escape rooms before. They are a fun activity for many occasions, but they’re kind of perfect for team building. Think about it, you’re trapped in a room with your co-workers where you need to find a way to work together, put together clues and escape the room before the clock runs out. If that doesn’t help your team learn how to work together, we’re not sure what will.
There are escape rooms in Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton, we put together a list here.
Laser Tag:
Put on some dorky vests and shoot each other!
Ok, this might be more effective if you go with another team to play against. Perhaps invite a “competing” company or divide your team into two groups. You and your colleagues can strategize the best way to take the other team down.

Go nuts on trampolines:
We can’t think of a better way to burn excess steam than jumping on giant trampolines. Moncton’s Get Air is the perfect place to do that. With different obstacle courses and activities to do while jumping, this is a fun way to get active and have a fun time out with your team. Plus, you know, giant trampolines. Who wouldn’t jump on board with that?

Get out of the life-size mazes at the Irving Nature Park:
The team-building benefits of this are pretty self-explanatory. But if mazes are not your thing, the Irving Nature Park in Saint John is overall a great spot to spend the day with your colleagues. As one of New Brunswick’s top tourist attractions, the park is a place where you can pretty much spend the entire day hiking the trails, taking in the beautiful scenery and even having a BBQ picnic. There’s truly nothing like the great outdoors.
Board game night at a board game cafe:
Let’s be real, you really can’t go wrong with board games and beer, and a board game cafe is an ideal place to do it. With so many games to choose from, you can get as competitive or collaborative as you want. Structured activities have their place, but sometimes the best way to bond and get to know each other is to chill out and have some fun.
