Dragons Den Seeking Maritime Entrepreneurs
MONCTON–CBC’s Dragon’s Den will be taking applications for entrepreneurs looking for both capital and exposure on the popular television show.
The reality TV show has entrepreneurs face a panel of business experts – the dragons – with an ask for equity investment. Some New Brunswick entrepreneurs, like the Sussex Beard Company, have found success on the show. Other’s, like Fredericton’s Simptek, did not, but went on to prove the doubters wrong.
The show is launching a 35-city audition tour, including stops in the Maritimes, to find its next round of contestants. The show says it welcomes participants of all ages, with businesses at any stage of development. Deliver a great five minute or less pitch and you might find yourself in Toronto facing the dragons.
So got a million dollar idea you want to pitch to the Dragon’s Den? You can try it in Moncton on March 3, Charlottetown on March 4 and Halifax on March 5.
