Cvent Canada to Host Hiring Events in Moncton, Halifax
Cvent’s Atlantic Canada teams are growing. The online software company for event management, web surveys and venue directory is holding hiring events in Moncton and Halifax next week.
The events will be casual, happy hour-style gatherings featuring free drinks and appetizers aimed at those interested in a career in technology. They will include a talk about how the company’s presence in Atlantic Canada began and a product demonstration.
Cvent Canada is looking to hire product managers, UX designers, front-end developers, back-end developers, quality engineers and architects across Atlantic Canada. The existing team in the area comprises just under thirty people, most of whom are located in Fredericton.
“We are hoping for a really good turnout next week,” Brian Dunphy, director of product development at Cvent, said. “We have had great success in building a team in the region so far and want to continue doing these types of events. Similar events in Fredericton were successful and we were able to tell people more about Cvent, our products and the type of technology we use.”
The Moncton event will be held on Monday, January 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Tide & Boar Gastropub while the Halifax event will be held on Tuesday, January 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Lot Six Bar & Restaurant.
“Our team here is comprised of a lot of former Salesforce (Radian6), IBM (Q1 Labs) and Blackberry tech talent,” Dunphy said. “Now we are looking outside of our network to continue the momentum.”
