Reporting to the CEO and based out of our corporate offices in Saint John, New Brunswick, the Vice President Public Relations will be responsible for developing and advancing strategic corporate communications programs, government relations, and media relations for global operations. You will oversee media coverage, and will lead all public relations efforts for the Company. As the public representative for the company, you will harness your knowledge of the aquaculture/seafood industry to maintain relationships within all levels of government. You will also work with key team members and leadership to define and execute the company’s overall public relations and communication strategy.
You will have proven results in creating and directing large-scale Public Relations programs, while being able to quickly execute alongside team members. You have long-term vision but also the ability to respond and react on a just-in-time basis.
As the company spokesperson, representing the voice of the CEO, Executive, and all internal stakeholders to the public and government bodies, you have exemplary writing and editing skills and a creative thinking style. You will lead the communications program including advising and developing messages, speechwriting, presentation development, and be present at various round table events as requested by the CEO. You will manage and provide leadership to a team of communications professionals and work closely with the global leaders in each of the organization’s operations.
Significant corporate/business public relations and media experience and your deep experience in government relations is required for this senior role.
