Consumer Confidence Rates Up In New Brunswick: CRA Report
FREDERICTON– Consumer confidence is up across the New Brunswick according to the latest report from Corporate Research Associates Inc. (CRA).
The numbers are part of the CRA Urban Report, an independent telephone survey of adult residents and consists of 400 Halifax residents, 401 Saint John residents, 400 Moncton residents, and 400 Fredericton residents, conducted from July 19 to August 7, 2017, with overall results for each accurate to within ±4.9 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
The report found consumer confidence in Fredericton has improved for the second consecutive quarter, reaching its highest level since tracking began in August 2013. Specifically, consumer confidence among Fredericton residents currently stands at 109.4, compared with 105.1 in May 2017, and 102.6 in February 2017.
In Saint John, consumer confidence among residents has shown a slight improvement this quarter, reaching its highest level since May 2010. Consumer confidence rests at 103.4, up from 99.5 three months ago.
Moncton’s consumer confidence has stabilized this quarter, three months after reaching its highest level since November 2015, according to the report. Consumer confidence rests at 106.9, up slightly 106.8 three months ago.
