Though having a unique or uncommon name can be cool, it can also be incredibly frustrating.
It’s especially frustrating when it’s an uncommon name that’s hard to pronounce. If I had a dollar for every time someone has called me “Cherish” or “Cherissa” (really?) I’d probably have my student loan paid off, but I digress.
In the workplace, it can be hard sometimes to not lose your cool when people can’t get your name right. But there’s a fine line between being too rude or too passive.
