BMM Testlabs Chooses Moncton for Global Test Automation Excellence Centre
MONCTON – BMM Testlabs, a gaming testing laboratory based in Las Vegas, has selected the Hub City for its worldwide Test Automation Centre of Excellence.
“BMM has been working with the University of New Brunswick and NBCC over the past few years and will continue to invest in educational programs to ensure the creation of qualified candidates for jobs in technology,” said Jean Corriveau, operations VP for Canada, in a release.
“BMM has employed many graduates to keep up with the industry’s growth. The Test Automation Center of Excellence is the perfect addition to our thriving Moncton business.”
Linda Lemieux, senior vice president with the company, said the company’s products already include automation.
“BMM’s extensive portfolio includes an array of automation services, including automation strategy consulting, automation test development programming; automation frameworks and tools; automation execution, reports, and metrics; and automation maintenance. BMM’s Test Automation Center of Excellence is already the go-to in the region,” she said.
Corriveau said automating is changing the industry.
“Automation is transforming the gaming business software development cycle with significant gains in productivity and reduction in time to market, increased predictability of quality, and improved consistency of products,” he said. “Automation is on a fast growth path and is evolving the testing landscape considerably. BMM has performed multiple automation projects spanning Class II, Class III, Skill-Based Games, Lottery and VLT over the last year alone.”
In 2015, the New Brunswick government announced that BMM Testlabs plans to bring 1,000 jobs to the greater Moncton area over five years.
