Senior Product Manager

Moncton-based Assumption Life is looking for a creative, dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Senior Product Manager. Under the leadership of the Marketing Director, this person is responsible for the strategic alignment of the individual life insurance product portfolio and sees to the research and development of new product lines. This person must have a mix of technical and strategic knowledge while having the ability to see the overall vision with the determination to make this vision a reality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the profitability of the products while aiming to increase the market shares according to the strategic alignments of the organization
  • Work collaboratively with external clients and internal teams
  • Define, plan and carry out projects within the specified project calendar
  • Always looking out for new trends that may impact products
  • Initiate the development of market monitoring tools as well as presentations and reports
  • Obtain, compile and analyze information from various sources including our competitors
  • Develop products from existing ideas and participate in conceptualizing new ideas based on industry data and trends; including surveys and interviews with different types of clients
  • Promote the product portfolio to the sales network, key customers and internal employees


  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and / or Business Administration, actuarial degree with marketing experience, or an equivalent combination of experience in Marketing
  • Minimum of 5 year experience in a Marketing-related field; including at least 2 year experience in product design
  • Minimum of 3 year experience in the individual life insurance industry
  • Experience in analysis, research, writing and reporting
  • Experience in marketing research and market segmentation;
  • Life Insurance License, LLQP
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (French and English)
  • Knowledge and / or experience in the actuarial field would be an asset.
