A Look Inside New Brunswick’s Co-working Spaces
Trying to get work done around attention seeking cats, dishes to be washed and a slew of great Netflix shows in your queue isn’t easy. But for a growing number of freelancers, remote workers and entrepreneurs, the home is often where work is done.
While home offices are great, not everyone has the space or the ability to sit alone for eight hours a day to make them ideal. Co-working spaces propose a solution: a rental space that provides everything you need to get things done without the commitment of a whole office.
Here are a few available in New Brunswick:
ConnexionWorks – Saint John
Ever the entrepreneurial hub, ConnexionWorks is a collaborative workspace in uptown Saint John. They are the home of the Vennture Garage business incubator and aim to be a place of startup education filled with the city’s brightest entrepreneurs. They offer a variety of different types of memberships with benefits such as internet, café, writable wall space and desk access. They also offer training and mentorship sessions, connections, networking opportunities and marketing services.
Planet Hatch – Fredericton
Located in the research and entrepreneurship focused Knowledge Park, Planet Hatch is a community space with plenty of programming and events to choose from. Planet Hatch exists to help companies and people from all stages of business access resources that help them grow. They offer unlimited wifi, conference rooms, lockers, free coffee and access to “hot desks” as well as “mentor zones” for less public calls and meetings.
Workspace Atlantic – Moncton
One of two locations, with the other in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Workspace Moncton is geared towards the culture of collaboration and changing work environments. They aim to provide freedom to work when, where and how you want and offer private offices, meeting spaces and virtual offices. A membership at Workspace Moncton gets you features like storage, a kitchenette and café, staffed reception and networking and educational opportunities.
Impactory – Moncton
Impactory aims to become a second home for mobile workers, one that combines comfort and flexibility. The space is shared by tenants looking for a professional but fun atmosphere. Impactory offers monthly, daily and hourly rates for their conference room, open space and single or multiple occupancy closed offices.
